
Jazmine was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Pam her mother is a former back-up singer at Philadelphia International Records. At 5 years old, she joined Philadelphia International Records. old, her dad landed an appointment as the curator at The city's Historic Strawberry Mansion in the Strawberry Mansion section, and her family relocated to the landmark historical building. In 2005 she graduated from Philadelphia High School for the Creative and Performing Arts in the class of a vocal music major. Sullivan was first singing in the kids' choir as a contralto later she joined the adult choir just a couple of years further on. Sullivan wasn't exposed to secular music initially. "I began singing in solos at church and a person was urging me to sign up to a gospel record when I was eleven. But I wasn't ready for that," she says. At that time, McDonald's held a contest for kids in big cities. I was able to perform "Accept the Grace of God" during the show Showtime at the Apollo. And the audience was very supportive. Stevie Wonder sang her part at the birthday of her son at the age of 13. Sullivan was the first to sign her contract to Jive Records when she was 15. She was signed to Jive Records when she was fifteen. She was the producer of an entire album. The album was never released. Sullivan was then dropped from the label.
