Tessa Thompson

The actor Tessa Lynn Thompson was born on the 3rd of October 1983 in Los Angeles, California. She is a daughter of Marc Anthony Thompson (a singer/songwriter) and the granddaughter Bobby Ramos, an actor/musician. Her childhood was spent living in Los Angeles, before she relocated to Brooklyn. Thompson is Mexican, British Isles and Afro-Panamanian descendance. Thompson participated in numerous productions at Santa Monica High School. After her graduation, she enrolled at Santa Monica College where she graduated with a degree in culture anthropology. In a performance at Pasadena's Boston Court Theatre, she was Juliet in William Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet". Her nomination was for the NAACP Theatre Award in the same year.
